In 2005, two sisters—one a passionate cook and the other an entrepreneur—found a rental opportunity in the Sacramento Bee Classifieds section and opened Chitas Taqueria in 2006. Inspired by their grandmother's cooking, especially her mayacoba beans. We aim to deliver a genuine taqueria experience rooted in home cooking and hospitality. This places deserves a 10 star alone just for the generous AMOUNT of beans and rice they gave me when I ordered through door dash. I also ordered just a burrito with rice and beans on the side and they gave THIS MUCH like wow. Food was amazing btw! Please go here ! They deserve all the love

This place is a "hidden gem"! The food just tastes, better! I'm not a chef so I couldn't tell you the exact reason why. But a basic burrito here is just flat out better than your favorite spot. The churro flan is amazing and if you dare attempt the salsa bar... good luck! Some of those salsas are SUPER hot and flavorful.
